I found them to be an excellent replacement for the Setzers in this guitar. Adding some mids made for a fuller sounding guitar and got rid of the percieved mushy bottom/annoying highs.

Gretsch does make their own Filtertrons, but some models do have TV Jones. Those tend to only be some of the very expensive MIJ models.
