Howling detection
WebThis study presents a howling detection method using the Generalized Teager-Kaiser Operator (GTKO). Since the GTKO is both time and frequency sensitive, its resolution parameter must be assigned properly to ensure satisfactory performance of this operator in the frequency range of the input signal for the hearing aid. Web19 jun. 2014 · Howling detection is based on howling to noise ratio (HNR). 3. Both noise floor and HNR are smoothed by first order smoother. 4. Howling detection criteria preferably include: i) HNR is larger than HRN threshold; ii) HNR is increasing; iii) There must have at least one HNR jump in N_HIT runs.
