WebAbita's strawberry lager is not overly sweet and tastes like they use real fruit to me. Not sure he is referencing the same beer. Pureeing and pasteurizing your fruit is also unnecessary in the many strawberry ales I've done, granted they aren't lagers. You're going to end up with a mess of pectin and plant matter if you liquefy your fruit.
